Communication Formats


Communications during the Conference are to be presented in one of the following three formats: an interactive workshop (90 minutes), a presentation (15 minutes of presentation + 5 minutes of questions) or a poster.

All communication proposals (workshops, presentations and posters) must be submitted in their designated format in order to be reviewed by the Conference Scientific Committee.

Accepted communication proposals will be published in the Conference Book of Abstracts with legal deposits and ISBN. The Book will be available online.

COMMUNICATION LENGTHS AND LANGUAGES
Communications can be held in either English or French.
 
During all activities, participants will be invited to communicate in the language of their choice and exchanges will be facilitated in both.

WORKSHOP PROPOSAL
Workshops must last 90 minutes, be interactive and encourage participation. They must address one of the main themes of the Conference (researching, teaching, evaluating and improving clinical reasoning).

Abstracts of proposed workshops (250 words maximum) must be structured the following way:
  • 1. Introduction,
  • 2. Intended audience,
  • 3. Workshop structure,
  • 4. Learning targets,
  • 5. Difficulty level (beginner, intermediate, advanced).

Up to 2 references can be added. References are not included in the word count of the workshop abstract.

The deadline for the submission of a workshop proposal is April 11, 2018, before midnight.

ORAL PRESENTATION
Oral presentations must last 20 minutes (15 min. of presentation and 5 min. of questions). They are intended to present research results or information related to the main themes of the Conference (researching, teaching, evaluating and improving clinical reasoning).

Abstracts of proposed oral presentation of research results (250 words maximum) must be structured the following way:
  • 1. Introduction,
  • 2. Methodology,
  • 3. Results,
  • 4. Discussion,
  • 5. Conclusion.

Abstracts of proposed oral presentation of information related to the themes of the Conference (250 words maximum) must be structured the following way:
  • 1. Introduction
  • 2. Summary
  • 3. Results,
  • 4. Discussion,
  • 5. Conclusion
  • 6. Information to remember.

Up to 2 references can be added. References must be presented in APA 6 format and are not included in the word count of the oral presentation abstract.

The deadline for the submission of an oral presentation proposal is April 11, 2018, before midnight.

POSTER PRESENTATION PROPOSAL (REMPLACED WITH ORAL PRESENTATION)
Poster presentations are intended to present research results or information related to the main themes of the Conference (researching, teaching, evaluating and improving clinical reasoning).

Abstracts of proposed poster presentation of research results (250 words maximum) must be structured the following way:
  • 1. Introduction,
  • 2. Methodology,
  • 3. Results,
  • 4. Discussion,
  • 5. Conclusion.

Abstracts of proposed poster presentation of information related to the themes of the Conference (250 words maximum) must be structured the following way:
  • 1. Introduction
  • 2. Summary
